Late Kuber Prasad Sharma was the first qualified Chartered Accountant of the country. He completed his training from S B Billimoria & Co, Mumbai, India in 1964 and then he came back to Nepal and set up his professional practice in 1964 AD as Kuber & Co. Chartered Accountants.
While continuing his practice he held various positions as becoming the minister in the cabinet in 2003 and becoming the Member of Parliament from 1992-96. He is credited for establishing the first insurance company in Nepal. He had been the President of Association of Chartered Accountants of Nepal. He was the fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
